To be sure, direr consequences will follow from record-high commodities prices. (Bread riots come to mind.) But way down the list, there’s this: Jeans are going to have to stay skinny at least a while longer.

MONTREAL - Riley Keough is not just another pale skinny model. She’s also the grand-daughter of Elvis Presley, which isn’t harming her career: she just signed to model for Lee, a big name in denim. Watch for her in ads with the slogan “a Lee don’t lie.” (Evidently the company “don’t care” about grammar.)
