Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) August 30, 2011 Elcom, a global leader in enterprise web content management, has joined the list of business supporters to sponsor this year’s ‘Jeans for Genes’ Gala dinner.
The ‘Swing and Bling’ black-tie evening will be held at the Sofitel Hotel in Sydney on 9 September 2011; celebrating the finale of the 2011 Jeans for Genes Campaigns.
Jeans for Genes is a major national fundraiser of Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI). For over 50 years, CMRI has been providing key research to understand the underlying role played by genes in causing diseases. The four major areas researched are: embryonic development and birth defects, cancer, nerve cell signalling, and gene therapy.
John Anstey, Elcom’s CEO commented, "CMRI perform a critical role in the prevention of genetic diseases and we are proud to be associated with them. We look forward to participating in this event, it looks like great fun and I strongly urge other businesses and professionals to show their support too." On the night guests will be entertained by Brent Street Dancers, John Morrison's Swing City Big Band featuring Jacki Cooper, as well as a special guest performance by Liam Burrows, Australia's Got Talent finalist.
A Celebrity Jeans Artwork auction will be held which includes celebrity jeans by Cate Blanchet, Ewan McGregor and Gordon Ramsay. A separate Silent Auction and Gala Raffle will also be held on the night.
